How would you work out this problem?
2x+5y=10

Do you have to solve for x or y? I have an algebra book... I'll post another response soon.
no.
you gotta solve for y.
y=mx+b
you gotta solve for y.
y=mx+b
Okay, I see. First take 2x away from both sides. That makes:
5y= 10-2x
Now, I'm not positive about this part, but I think you would divide the whole side by 5, therefore making:
y = 2-.4x
or
y = -.4x + 2
Hope I helped!

y = mx+b , that's the equation
so
we do this
5y = 10-2x
5y = -2x + 10
now we want to get rip of the 5 in the Y
so we do
-2x / 5
10 / 5
so its -0.4 and 2
so y= -0.4x + 2
get it?
