how would you solve this equation?

the height of a triangle is 2m more than the base. The area is 17.5m^2. Find the length of the base.

it's height.. not measurement..
(1/2) b h = 17.5
(1/2) b (b+2) = 17.5
b^2 + 2 b = 35
b^2 + 2 b - 35 = 0
(b - 5)(b+7) = 0
b = 5
h = 7
