y=2-x
or
y= -x+2
its the same thing
How do you write the equation x+3y=6 in slope-intercept form?
11 answers
y-1/3x + 2
Sorry typo
The answer is
y = -1/3x + 2
The answer is
y = -1/3x + 2
Brianna, I do not think switching the order of the x will make it the same.
The formula for slope intercept form is
y=mx+b
Where m is the slope
The formula for slope intercept form is
y=mx+b
Where m is the slope
which one is the right answer??
y = -1/3x + 2
oops i double checked my answer and chopsticks is right,
its y=-1/3x+2
its y=-1/3x+2
but to correct you, you are able to switch them around
2+3=5
and
3+2=5
its the same thing
-1/3 is the slope and 2 is the intercept
2+3=5
and
3+2=5
its the same thing
-1/3 is the slope and 2 is the intercept
ok thanks
Your right. That is the property of addition, but the problem asks us for slope intercept form.
I guess it depends on the teacher
mine doesnt care which way you put it because its both the same thing when you graph it out
