Am i doing this right?
((x^2)-8))(x-4)
=(x^3 -12+32)(3)

Answer=3x^3 -36+96

it depends on what you mean by (fg)(3)

What I think you are working with is a convolutions

f convolution g of 3 is
= (x-4)^2 - 8 when x=3) or
= 1-8 or -7
