Effective supervisors learn how to

a. criticize without worrying about employee feelings
b.watch for patterns of successful employee motivators
c.set standards which are unattainable by most employees
d.focus on production rather than on people

1 answer

a) is correct, but b) is the best answer. The focus on helping an employee grow is the best motivator in the long run. HOwever, when an employee needs to be told his/her behaviour was unsatisfactory, or was inappropriate, you do it with regard to "feelings".
