The entire poem, "O Captain, My Captain!," is an analogy. What is being compared to the Civil War in this poem?
To what is Frost comparing the path in the woods?
Can someone give me examples of analogies in O Captain! my Captain and The road not taken or at least help me find them so that I can myself compare and contrast the use of analogies in both of these poems
Thanks in advance

The "ship" and the "captain" are what and whom in "O Captain, My Captian"? Who is the captain and what was he in charge of? What was the storm that the ship weathered?
I know that for O Captain! my Captain it is about lincoln's death and I assume the reason the ship is weathered is because the war just ended while in the road not taken is about two choices and the author takes one and wonders what would have happened if he chose the other. So is that is all now I just need to compare and contrast them thanks guys.
