A mass of 10kg moves with a velocity of 4m/s. What is its kinetic enery

8 answers

Kinetic Energy is 1/2 * mass * velocity^2

KE will be in joules, if mass is in kilograms, and velocity in meters/second.
1/2*1000*4square=16000/2=8000joules
note " ' " is raised to power, eg 2'2

K.E = 0.5mv'2
1/2=0.5 * mass=m * velocity=v*v.
so 0.5 * 10kg * 4 * 4ms
= 80joules
