A baseball player has 34 hits in 102 times at bat. Another baseball player has 24 hits in 96 times at bat. Write each player's batting average.
Here's what I did:
34/102 = BP #1
24/96 = BP #2
34/102 = 1/3
24/96 = 1/4
1/3 --> 4/12
1/4 --> 3/12
4/12 + 3/12 = 7/12
7/12 divided by 2 = 7/24 OR 0.29167
Is this correct?

24/96 = .250
Yes you were right --- its shown as the way I showed it rather then a fraction
