The length of a rectangular prism is four times the width. The height of the prism is 8 ft. If the volume of the prism is 160 ft^3, what is the width of the prism? Round to the nearest tenth of a foot.

let the width be x
then length = 4x
height = 8

volume = w x l x h
160 = x(3x)(8)
24x^2 = 160
x^2 = 5x = √5 = 2.236.. or appr 2.2
