If the length of a rectangular is three feet longer than the width and the perimeter is 62 feet, what is the width?

x=width
x+3=length
(x)+(x+3)+(x)+(x+3)=62
solve for x
x = 14 ft

width --- x ft
length --- x+3 ft
2x + 2(x+3) = 62
