what mass of Iodine(I2) must be used to prepare a .960m solution if 1000g of ethanol (C2H5OH0 is used?

2 answers

m = mols/kg solvent
0.960m = mols/1 kg
mols = 0.960
mols I2 = grams I2/molar mass I2. That assume that the grams I2 calculated actually dissolves in 1 kg ethanol.
What mass iodine and what volume of ethanol are required to prepare 150 g of 5% solution. density of ethanol is 0.8 g/ml.
