I cannot solve the problem please help me.
I'm suppose to set the equations up to solve for t.
x = y + rt + at^2/2
Even when I plug in the values I don't get the answer.
x = 16.4 y= 0 r= 0*cos(45)a=0 t is suppose to equal 2.32 if I set the problem up correctly.

plug in the numbers.
Put it in standard form.
Ax^2+Bx+C=0 (note A is not a in your equation).
then use the quadratic equation.
x=(-b+-sqrt(b^2-4ac))/2A
