Reiny
x^2 = 4-y and x = y+2
sub the 2nd into the first

(y+2)^2 = 4-y
y^2 + 4y + 4 = 4-y
y^2 + 5y = 0
y(y+5) = 0
y = 0 or y = -5

if y = 0 , then x = 4-0 = 4
if y = -5 , then x = 4-(-5) = 9
