How do I solve this rational exponent equation?

(2x)^1/2 = x - 4

Square both side first
2x)^1/2^2=(x-4)^2
2x=x^2-8x+16
subtract 2x from both sides
x^2-10x+16
now FOIL
(x-8)(x-2)
