150 mL of a 4.00 molar NaOH solution is diluted with water to a new volume of 1.00 liter. What is the new molarity of the NaOH?

Use mL1 x M1 = mL2 x M2 OR

look at it another way; i.e., you have diluted 4.00 molar from 150 to 1000 so
4.00 x (150/1000) = ??
You should obtain the same answer either way.
