Answers

Dr Russ
3(a+4)/9 = 2a - 12

cancel down the 3/9

(a+4)/3 = 2a - 12

multiply through by 3

a+4 = 6a - 36

add 36 to both sides

a+40=6a

subtract a from both sides

40 = 5a

divide both sides by 5

8=a
