I don't like to use ppm BUT 1 ppm = 1 part per 1,000,000 parts and it's easier to just say 1 gram per 1,000,000 grams. So 2.79 g Ag in 2,000 g ore is the same as 1395 g Ag in 1,000,000 g ore. Just set up a proportion like this
(2.79 g Ag/2,000 ore) = (x g Ag/1,000,000 g ore) and solve for x.
(2.79 g Ag/2,000 ore) = (x g Ag/1,000,000 g ore) and solve for x.
