No, the first term means 8 times the cos of x, and the second term means the cos of 8 times x.

Take the information that you have been give a step at atime. 3 x 6 = 18 You divide the number by 2 to get this, so the number is 36. To confirm this take 3 x 3 (=9) from it and you will get 27. This is equal to 3 x 9. Hope that helps
