If the height of a triangle is one inch more than twice its base, and if the area of the same triangle is 20 square inches, find the base and height of the triangle.

Did you forget that area = 1/2 * base * height?
20 = 1/2 * b * (1+2b)
b = 4.229in
20 = 1/2 * b * (1+2b)
b = 4.229in
