The height of a triangle is 2 mm. less than the base. If the area is 60 mm^2, find the height and the base.

A = (1/2) b h
h = b - 2
so
60 = (1/2) b(b-2)

120 = b^2 - 2 b

b^2 - 2 b - 120 = 0

(b-12)(b+10) = 0

b = 12
h = 10
