A foundry releases 6.0 tons of gas into the atmosphere every day. The gas mixture contains 2.5% sulfur dioxide (SO2) by wieght. How many pounds of SO2 are released in one week?

What if the gas were 50% SO2? You'd have 6 * 0.5 = 3.0 tons of SO2, right? Convert that to pounds = 6000 lbs.
