i keep thinking of 5 in the ones digit and the tens digit can either be a 10 or 20 but that cant be because its more than 25 and less than 35. it has to be easy and im not getting it.

27 is between 26 and 35.

7 is 5 more than 2.

Therefore, the number must be 27.

It can go either way as long as the 1's digit is 5 more greater then the 10's digit. You say its 27 cause 7 is 5 more then 2 but isn't 8, 5 more then 3? Or 9, 5 more then 4? So on & so on?
