If x^2-6x+8y-31 mean:
x^2-6x+8y-31=0 then
8y= -x^2+6x+31 Divide with 8
y= -x^2/8 + 6x/8 + 31/8
y= -x^2/8 + 3x/4 + 31/8
x^2-6x+8y-31=0 then
8y= -x^2+6x+31 Divide with 8
y= -x^2/8 + 6x/8 + 31/8
y= -x^2/8 + 3x/4 + 31/8
