Winners of races are not determined randomly. Some runners are much better than others.

Whoever dreamed up this problem should know better.

If they all had equal ability, the probability of Jerome, Morgan and Billy placing first, second and third is (3/8)*(2/7)*(1/6) = 6/336 = 1/56
