Find the derivative of the following functions:

x^7+2/(x^1/2)

The power rule states that:
d(x^n)/dx = nx^(n-1)
so
d(x^7+2/(x^1/2) ) / dx
= d ( x^7 + 2x^-(1/2) /dx
= 7x^6 - x^(-3/2)
= 7x^6 - 1/x^(3/2)
