The measures of two adjacent sides of a parallelogram are in the ratio 17:7. if the second side measures 3.5 cm, find the perimeter of the parallelogram.

if two sides must be parallel then the fourth side is also 3.5 cm
add the sides = perimeter
add the sides = perimeter

well, you need the longer side:
longerside=17/7 * 3.5
perimeter= 2*longerside+2*3.5 cm
longerside=17/7 * 3.5
perimeter= 2*longerside+2*3.5 cm
