John claimed he had a garden twice as large as Al's retangular-shaped garden that measured 15 ft by 30 ft. When they visited John's rectangular-shaped garden, they found it measured 18 ft. by 50 ft. Al claimed that it could not be twice as large since neither the length nor the width were twice as large. Who was correct and why?
