Go to google and type in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) for the FCPA Hope this helps. I know it helped me to find great infromation for the assingment
yeah it is in the multimeada section but here it is just in case you don't find it K. As Geletex’s international operations grow, Jed is becoming increasingly incomfortable with what appear to be double standards for the company’s US operations and its iperations in other countries. Jed, who has been traveling to each of the geletex international offices, has found the following situations, which since have been causing him some sleepless nights: In the Lima, Peru, office, Jed, in reviewing financial records, discovered that the commissions expense for the branch is unusually high. Geletex pays its sales people commissions for each commercial customer they recruit for cellular of long distance services. Jed knows from experience that some compaies pay unusually high sales commissions to disguise the fact that sales people are paying kickbacks in exchange for contracts. In the United States, such payments would be commercial bribery and a violation of Geletex’s code of eithics. When Jed confronted the Lima, Peru, district manager and quwstioned him about the high commissions, he responded, “Look, things are different down here. We’ve got a job to do. If the company wants results, we’ve got to get things moving any way we can.” Does this office violate the FCPA? Support your answer. This office is not violating the FVPA, unless the salespeople are offered commission in order to disguise the kickbacks being given to customers then they are in violation. In the Stockhorim, Sweden, office, Jed noted a number of college age student employees who seemed to have little work to do. Again Jed questioned the district manager, who responded “Sure, Magnus is the son of the telecommunications regulator. Caryl is is the daughter of a judge who handles regulatory appeals in the utilities. Andres is a nephew of The head of the governing party. They’re bright kids, and the contacts don’t hurt us. In the Scandanavian culture, giving jobs to children is part of doing business. Does this office violate the FCAP? Support your answer. This office is not violating the FCPA, unless these “children: employees were hired as a result of a bargain between the company and the official for assistance when needed then they are in violation. In the Barnbay, Indai, office, Jed noted that many different payments had been made to both the Indian government and government officials. When Jed voiced his concern the district manager responded, “I can explain every payment. On this one we needed the utiltities (water and electricity) for our offices turned on. We could have waited our turn and had no services for ninety days, or we could pay to get moved to the top of the list and have our utilities turned on in fourty eight hours. On the check for licensing, again we could have waited six months to get licensed or pay to expedite it and be licensed. Does this office violate the FCPA? Probably not, since the payments made to the government offices were to speed up processes needed to get the business rolling. The FCPA does allow facilitation to open doors or expedite processes. It does not purport to influence outcomes. Jed is an expert on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). However Jed id unsure about Geletex’s international operations and compliance with the law. He is very unsure about Geletex having an international code of ethics. I hope this helps and is not to late for you

thank you. i understand how you got 48/52 since there are 4 jacks but do i need to simplify the answer?
thank you so much for answering this for me.
Here is another ?. Would this be the answer? A student claims that if a fair coin is tossed and comes up heads 5 times in a row, then, according to the law of averages, the probability of tails on the next toss is greater than the probability of heads. What is your reply? No matter what comes up or how often you get heads, the chance for each individual throw is always the same -- 1 chance out of 2.
Thank you for your help. I didn't know what semilogartihmic was but I googled it and I think I understand. I'm not good with making graphs and stuff on the computer so I guess I will try to write it down and then scan it.
thank you for attempting to answer. i didn't know how to add a picture of it. its just a regular line with arrows on both sides and points a b and c going across it in that order.
well my teacher told us to do this as a punishment after we did someting bad but now i understand how to do it. 1)it moves by a chemical rocket that helps it move away from earth's gravitational(i think that's how you spell it) pull. 2) a high impulse engine works over a long time so it can be able to go to different planets. this machine does not use propellers. the electrical energy obtained is from the sun using solar panels. 3) when you eventually get close enough to the planet, its gravitational pull will push you towards that planet's surface. i hope these answers satisfy you and i hope my teacher will except them.
the question was about a cylinder not a cone which is a different formula. thanks.

If i was doing the pythagorean theorum and i had a triangle with a radius of 3 and height of 6 would this be the answer??? c^2=3^2+6^2 c^2=9+36 c^2=45 c=6.7
thank you. sorry it was for a right circular cone that we had to use the pythagorean theorum for. would the answer still be correct?
thanks for the link. i actually looked at that before i posted the question but it didn't seem to help me. it defines tonality but i don't really understand the second question.
thank you for replying with the links. i already read through most of them before posting the question. i actually think i misread something. we had to pick a time period such as neoclassism or dadaism and write a paper on it and some examples. when i researched dadaism there was a pic of the monalisa but after further research i don't think it was leonardo's. i think both of these pieces were from the renaissance and i need to write how they reflected that period. is this correct? thanks again for your help

The temperature within the exosphere varies, depending on whether you are looking at the "day" side of the Earth, or the "night" side of the Earth. Because the atmospheric molecules are so disperse at this altitude, their energy is related to the amount of solar radiation that is received. During the day, the temperatures can reach thousands of degrees Celsius. During the night, the temperatures can reach close to absolute zero.
Use conservation of energy E = K + U Ui (initial potential from spring) = Kf (final kinetic energy 1/2 kx^2 = 1/2 mv^2 v = x*sqrt(k/m) From kinematics: d = (Vf^2-Vi^2) / (2a) d = (x*sqrt(k/m))^2 / (2a) (substituting our v from above) d = (kx^2) / (2*ma) We know from forces that friction = µ*N and N = mg the net force on the object after leaving the spring will be that from friction, therefore F = µmg = ma µmg = (kx^2) / (2d) µ = (kx^2) / (2dmg)
