Sam walked 15ft. up a ramp and discovered he was 9ft. above the ground. Pam walked an additional 20ft. up the ramp. How far above the ground is she?

This is a simple triangle problem - it may help to draw it out. Draw the height perpendicular to the ground, and the ramp is the hypotenuse.

The solution is a proportion.
Let x be Pam's height. Then 15/9 = (15+20)/x. x=?
