A half revolution (i.e. 180 degrees) would be equivalent to the ball's diameter. Since there are 9 revolutions, the ball have rolled 18 times its diameter.

the distance the ball rolls in one revolution is the circumference, pi D

Opps Damon is right. Remember the equation of a circumference is 2pi(r) and that 2*r=D. Therefore, it could also be written as pi*D
