Two People who weigh the same climb a flight of stairs. The 1st person climbs the stairs in 30s, and the 2nd person climbs them in 40s. Which person does more work? which uses more power.
- I would personaly think the 2nd person does more work and power cus she weights the same yet she got there faster...there fore she had had to do more work cus she probly rushed...am i right?

I think it's the first person because in order to finish something faster, it will require more work. For example in a race. The person who finishes first has to run faster.

The second person got up there in 40s. The first person got up there in 30s. I think you got the two mixed up. It is the first person that did more work, because they used their energy to make their way up in 30s. The second person got up there in 40s and didn't put in effort or energy in running. The second person slacked off.

Work = Force x distance
Both traveled the same distance (flight of stairs) & both were composed of the same force (weight). Therefore, they both exerted the same amount of force.
However, the first person who climbed the stairs at 30 s exerted more energy at less time than the 2nd person, so he's exerting more power.
