Today's nationalist conflicts include:

Tibet once was an independent nation but is now part of China. Many Tibetans want to become independent again.

The Republic of China (Taiwan) is independent, but still claimed by China.

The Basque Region of northern Spain is part of Spain, but many in this region want independence.
