Did you add the translational kinetic energy (1/2) M V^2 and the rotational kinetic energy (1/2) I w^2?
I = (1/2)MR^2 and w = V/R, so
Total KE = (3/4) M V^2
I = (1/2)MR^2 and w = V/R, so
Total KE = (3/4) M V^2
