In 1-2 sentences, explain why there are so many less individual organisms at the level labeled "5" than there are at the level labeled "1." Include how energy pyramids are inspired by egyptian pyramids.

Your explanation should include how energy flow affects the number of organisms at each level.

the image shows an energy pyramid with a hawk at the top by #5
snakes, and frogs being Underneath It (#4 and #3),
grasshoppers, and finally ,Grass at the bottom (#2, and #1)

Your answer should be in 1-2 complete sentences.
Your answer must include the name of the organisms at level 1 and level 5 when explaining your answer.

There are significantly fewer hawks at the top level (level 5) than grass at the bottom level (level 1) because energy flows from the base of the pyramid to the top, with each level only transferring about 10% of the energy from the level below; this limits the number of individual organisms that can be supported at higher trophic levels. Just as the Egyptian pyramids taper to a peak, energy and biomass decrease as you move up each level in the energy pyramid, explaining the scarcity of hawks compared to the abundance of grass.
