Could anyone please explain this formula to me, and give me an example of how it is used?
Pa=Xa*Pt
the "a" and the "t" are subscripts.

oops the "t" is supposed to be a capital one, if that means anything.

im pretty sure that equation is for Partial Pressure. Im not sure how to explain it though sorry :/

Pa is the partial pressure
Xa is the mole fraction: moles of the element/ total amount of moles
and Pt is the total pressure
