    your presentation is considered "poor form"
Proper way:
distance = √((8-3)^2 + (2-5)^2 )
= √( 5^2 + (-3)^2)
= √(25+9)
= √34

    Reiny,
I know that my presentation is poor form. I only know how to work this in MS Word the right way. Is my answer supposed to d=sqrt 34 or d=5.83?
