The hypotenuse of a 30- 60- 90 triangle has length 17. What is the length of the side opposite the 60 angle?

draw the unit triangle:

hyp2, opposite 1, adjacent sqrt3

Memorize that triangle, so you can immediatly know that

x/sqrt3=17/2
