I still need help with these extended metaphors. I know that the house is being compared to the ship but I can't figure out what quote I should use to show that it's an extended metaphor.

The first three verses are the extended metaphor of the house and ship.
The extended metaphor of the starling begins with I remember the starling and ends with "clearing the sill....."
