It looks like you meant to type:
5^(x+6)=4
if so then
(x+6) ln 5 = ln 4
x + 6 = ln4 / ln 5 = .861
x = -6 + .861
5^(x+6)=4
if so then
(x+6) ln 5 = ln 4
x + 6 = ln4 / ln 5 = .861
x = -6 + .861
