1/2 = 1 divided by 2 = 0.5 (times 100 to convert to %) = 50%
2/3 = 2 divided by 3 = 0.66666 (times 100 to convert to %) = 66.67%
does that make sense?

To change a fraction to a percent, you can use the following steps:
Step 1: Divide the numerator (the top number) of the fraction by the denominator (the bottom number).
Step 2: Multiply the result by 100.
For example, let's say you have the fraction 3/4 and you want to convert it to a percent. Here are the steps:
Step 1: Divide 3 by 4: 3 รท 4 = 0.75
Step 2: Multiply the result by 100: 0.75 * 100 = 75
Therefore, the fraction 3/4 is equivalent to 75%.
Note that if the numerator is bigger than the denominator, the result will be greater than 100%. In such cases, you might want to simplify the fraction first, if possible, before converting it to a percent.
