A cone S,H,R to find the volume of the cone in the picture where S=13cm and R=5cm
Word back
Since h=6,use the V=(1/3)(pi)(r^2)(h) to find the volume

Wrong again!!!
The data gives S = 13, but nowhere in the calculation does 13
enter the picture.
Since we can't see the diagram, but mysteriously the robot can ??? ,
I will assume that S is the slant height of the cone.
S^2 = r^2 + h^2
169 = 25 + h^2
h^2 = 144
h = 12
Vol = (1/3)(π)(25)(12) = 100π cm^3 or appr 314.16 cm^3

of the cone.
V=(1/3)(pi)(5^2)(6)=157.07 cm^3
V=(1/3)(pi)(5^2)(6)=157.07 cm^3
