1.00 oz of gold (density=19.3 g/cm3) can be hammered in to a sheet that would cover a
1.00×102 ft2 area. How thick would such a sheet be in centimeters?

1 oz = about 28.4 grams. (that's 453.6/16 = 28.35 which I rounded to 28.4 grams)
volume = mass/density = 28.4 g/19.3 g/cc = 1.47 cc = 1.47 cubic centimeters
I logged into google and convert 100 square feet to 92903 cm^2
Dimensions are a cube are l x w x height = 1.47 cc
l x w = 92903 cm^2 so
92903 cm^2 x ?cm = 1.47. Solve for ?cm as the thickness.
