1. A cookie recipe calls for 3/4 cup of chocolate chips to 2/3 of a cup of sugar. How many chocolate chips do you need if you have 1 cup of sugar?

= 9 : 8 , (I multiplied each fraction by 12)
= 9/8 : 1 , (I divided each term of the ratio by 8)
