a cookie recipe calls for a ratio of 4 cups of flour to 3 cups of sugar in order to make a dozen cookies. If Ben wants to make 30 cookies how many cups of sugar are needed?

3/12 = x/30

Cross multiply and solve for x.

You doing cups of flour to cups of sugar. So 4/3 the 4 is the cups of flour and the 3 is the cups of sugar the 30 goes on the bottom because 3x12 is 36 so 4x12 is 48 so u will need 48 cups of sugar
