                A hunter walks 400m up a hill which slopes at an angle of 20 degrees to the horizontal. Calculate to the nearest meter (a)  horizontal distance covered(b)  vertical height through which it rises.

let the horizontal distance be x and the vertical height be y
cos 20= x/400
x=400cos 20 (use a calculator)
(b)
sin 20= y/400
y=400sin 20 (use a calculator)
