easy way:
average force= 15/2 = 7.5 N
7.5 N * 0.04 m = 0.3 Joules
hard way:
F= k x so k = 15/0.04 = 375 N/m
work = (1/2) k x^2 = (1/2) * 375 * 0.04^2 = 0.3 Joules but we knew that.
