Stan's cookie recipe makes 24 cookies and calls for exactly 384 sprinkles. He is wondering how many sprinkles (p)(p)left parenthesis, p, right parenthesis he will need to make 60 cookies. He assumes each cookie will have the same number of sprinkles.

Cutting through all that gibberish ....

60/24 = x/384
24x = 60*384
x = 60*384/24 = 960 sprinkles
