The function g(x) is a transformation of f(x). If f(x) = x² + 2 and g(x) is a translation up three units and left 1 unit, then what is the equation for g(x)?

f(x) = x² + 2
g(x) = (x + 1)^2 + 2 + 3
= (x+1)^2 + 5
