    15+6x=45+8x
move all the x stuff to the left
15+6x-8x = 45
move all the other stuff to the right
6x+8x = 45-15
14x = 30
x = 30/14 = 15/7
    
move all the x stuff to the left
15+6x-8x = 45
move all the other stuff to the right
6x+8x = 45-15
14x = 30
x = 30/14 = 15/7

-2x = 30
x = -15

should have been:
6x - 8x = 45 - 15
