What causes the sunlight to hit different latitudes on Earth at different angles?
the Earth's tilt on its axis
the Sun's distance from Earth
the Earth's speed of rotation
the Sun's rate of burning fuel
What climate will countries from the northern and southern hemispheres experience due to less direct sunlight?
desert
polar
tropical
temperate
What causes day and night on Earth?
the orbit of Earth around the sun
the motion of the sun to different latitudes
the tilt of Earth on its axis
the rotation of Earth
Use this sentence: Earth is closest to the sun in January when it is winter in the Northern Hemisphere.
How is this possible?
(1 point)
The sun is heating the Northern Hemisphere more in winter, but it takes awhile for it to heat up.
It heats up to a higher temperature during the day, but it still ends up colder because the days are shorter.
The sun is smaller during the winter months.
The angle at which the sun strikes Earth is more important than the distance

People on this site saying "He or She" in a sentence don't understand that there are more pronouns than that. So when referring to somebody you don't know the pronouns for, use "They/them."
Example:
"His or her answer is wrong."
goes to,
"Their answer is wrong."
This keeps it so people with other gender identities or pronouns can feel welcome and supported, as sticking to "He or Her" can lead to misgendering.
